Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to make a reservation?
Do I need to put down a deposit?
Reservations are required at the moment. We accept UTV & Jet Ski rental reservations by phone during our business hours & online through the booking platform.
Yes. We require a $1,000 deposit for Full day and Half day rentals. We require a $2,500 deposit for anything longer than a full days rental. We accept all major credit cards.
When does my rental time begin?
What happens if I damage the UTV or Jet Ski during my rental period?
The rental period begins at the time you reserve. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your reservation in order to complete waivers and checkout.
If you arrive at our office 30 minutes before your reservation time and leave after the scheduled time because of a hold up on our end, your time begins when you leave.
If you leave late because you did not arrive 30 minutes before your reservation time or if your group is late, your rental time begins at your reservation time.
We try to be as flexible as we can, but during peak summer months when we are sold out, we don't have a lot of options.
If any damage occurs to the UTV or Jet Ski during your rental, the renter is fully responsible for the entire cost of repairs or replacement. This includes anything you break, bend, crack, puncture, or alter in any way while the equipment is in your possession.
We always encourage safe, responsible riding to avoid unexpected charges. Careless, negligent, or abusive operation is absolutely not permitted and is strictly enforced.
When riding a UTV: There are absolutely NO donuts, jumping, drifting, or excessive high speeds allowed.
When riding a Jet Ski: There is absolutely NO wake jumping, beaching the craft on sand/rocks, spraying others, or reckless close-proximity riding allowed.
Do I have to clean the UTV or jet ski before returning it?
Do I have to pay for the day use at Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area?
Please be sure to clear the UTV or Jet Ski of all garbage and personal items before returning it. In the event that trash is left inside the vehicle compartments or cargo areas, a cleaning fee will be charged.
We fully handle washing the equipment afterward—off-roading means the UTV is going to get muddy, and hitting the water means the Jet Ski will get wet! Normal trail dirt and lake water are completely fine, but the unit must be free of trash and debris upon return.
Yes. Barnwell Mountain will have its own day passes for members and non members. They will also have their own waiver for you to sign at the office.

Non-Refundable: Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance are completely non-refundable.
Early Returns: There are no refunds or credits given for early returns or unused rental time.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for rental fees.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. Before departure, a $1,000 damage deposit per unit must be paid via credit card. If the UTV or Jet Ski is returned on time and without damage, this authorization form will be destroyed and the hold released.
What should I do on the day of my rental?
Arrive Early: Please arrive 30 minutes early to complete your paperwork and receive your mandatory safety and operational training.
Sign Waivers: Every participant (drivers and passengers) must sign the Rental Agreement and Waiver prior to the activity.
Bring Your ID & Certs: Drivers must bring a valid driver's license. Jet Ski operators born on or after September 1, 1993, must also present their Boater Education Certificate.
What happens if the weather gets bad?
We prioritize your safety. In the event of severe, unsafe weather conditions (such as lightning or high winds), we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your rental. If a rental must be cut short due to sudden severe weather, your rental fees will be adjusted or prorated based on the actual time the equipment was used.
